Christmas 2010

Our Christmas this year was a bit different from previous years because we were missing a greatly loved member of our family. My RaRa passed away on December 22, 2010. He was such a humble, loving, godly man and we miss him so much, but it was time for him to be with our great Lord and savior. His passing really put the season into perspective.

This is Clayton with the Santa in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was frozen in this position and didn’t move his hands until I got him off of Santa’s lap…not so sure of the man with the beard.

This is the first year we have had Christmas in Arkansas in many years, so it was good to see all of the cousins together.

Once we got back to Texas, at the end of December, we made cookies for Santa and Santa came to give Clayton his goodies.

We of course had to make cookies for Santa…

Clayton’s baby cousin, Jarret, was born on December 28, 2010 and we loved getting to spend some time with him and celebrate Christmas with Nick’s side of the family in early January.

We also had a celebration with my side of the family in mid-January.

Clayton’s favorite thing to do at Gammy and Papa’s is roll the balls on the pool table. Uncle John was the perfect sucker to let him do it as much as he wanted…

My niece, Rachel, serenaded us with her annual piano concerto.

Giant family means chaos during present time.
