Summer Fun

July has been a busy month! We have been out of town a lot. Clayton has gotten to meet lots of new people during his travels and he seemed to love every minute of it.

At the end of June, my mom's friends had a Sip 'n See for she and Clayton. All of her friends just loved the little man and he was thankfully on his best behavior. He got passed around and around and didn't seem to mind one bit. He loves attention!

Gammy with the hostesses ~ they had a nautical theme and the decorations were so cute. They even had "Clayton" napkins made with little anchors on them.

We spent the first two weeks of July in Port Aransas. The weather was so nice this year and we had a great time. All of my brothers and all of their kids were also down there, which was a lot of fun. It is a rare occasion that all five of us kids are able to be in one place at the same time. We definitely have a large immediate family, my dad has five kids and nine grandkids so far. Clayton loved being in Port A again. He gets so relaxed down there and loved taking naps outside and hanging out behind the boat with everyone. He also went for his first swim and went to his first fishing tournament weigh-in. Next year he will be old enough to fish the piggy perch tournament portion of the Deep Sea Roundup. I can't wait!

First time in the pool ~ he was a bit sleepy, but he seemed to like it. The water felt like bath water.

When we got home from Port Aransas, we busted out the Jumperoo, which Clayton loves. It keeps him entertained for long periods of time, which is also nice for Mommy!

Last weekend we went to Arkansas to visit my grandparents and for the annual golf tournament that Nick plays in. Clayton got to meet lots of family for the first time and he did great with all of the new faces. He smiled more than ever while we were there, especially at Nana. Every time she came up to him, he would give her the biggest smile. It was so cute. Ryan played in the golf tournament with Nick so he and Lisa joined us for the weekend at my grandparents and got a taste of our crazy, large family. The guys ended up winning their flight and won new golf clubs and some money. Lisa and I were very proud of them.

Now we are finally home and trying to get unpacked and organized from all of our travels. Yesterday we had a play date with some of my college friends and their babies. It has been forever since we have all been able to get together and it was great catching up. All of the kiddos are growing so fast, it is crazy.

"Ready, Set, Jump!" ~ Parker and Clayton - These two are three days apart in age. They have both grown a lot since the last time we got them together at the beginning of May.
