On Saturday, March 27th, we had Clayton’s first birthday party. Around forty of our closest friends and family members came over to help celebrate his big day. Clayton had such a good time and he loved his cake. He surprisingly didn’t even get sick from all of the icing! We had a bounce house in the back yard and we did a pull string piñata for the kids. Saturday happened to be super windy (I believe the weather man said “screaming winds”) and the bounce house took a tumble and ended up flying down the road, so all of the guys had to run and chase it down. The kids were all done playing in it by that point anyway. :)

We love you, sweet boy!
Clayton's Grandpa made him this table to go in our new playroom
The cakes
Why is everyone singing and staring at me???
Is that for me???
Yummy cake!
All of the kiddos had fun trying to get the candy from the string pinata. Even Clayton was in on the fun!
The Leaning Bounce House
The kids tried to blow bubbles outside, but the wind kind of put a damper on that...
We had lots of family come to help celebrate Clayton's big day!

The morning of Clayton's real birthday, which was March 31st, my mom brought over cupcakes and presents and we did candles and sang "Happy Birthday" again. I also made Clayton pancakes that morning, so he had cupcakes and pancakes for breakfast...very nutritious!
Happy Birthday!
More presents!
Yummy pancakes
We wanted to do something special on Clayton’s real birthday, so Nick and his dad took off work and we all took him to the zoo for the first time.
We went to Chic Fil A on our way to the zoo and Clayton has never been there and he loved it! He especially loved all of the cows that they have on the inside of the restaurant.
First trip to the zoo

Checking out the elephants with Grandma and Grandpa
He loved this elephant that was just his size
The giraffes were one of his favorites
I think Clayton's favorite part of the zoo was this fake cow that is in the "Texas Exhibit". He is kind of obsessed with cows and he likes to "moo" when he sees one.
On our way home from the zoo, we went through the Braum's drive through and Clayton got to share a frozen yogurt with his Grandpa. What a great way to end a great day!
