Wow! We had such an amazing trip to Los Suenos, Costa Rica in March! It was unlike any vacation we have ever been on. We typically go to destinations with white sandy beaches, but Costa Rica was such a different kind of beautiful with mountains and lush rain forests. We were also much more adventurous this trip than normal. We went zip lining, deep sea fishing and hiking through the rain forest. I am so glad we were fortunate enough to take Clayton with us so he could see all that he did. Most of my family was there the same time as us, so that made it even more memorable and fun!
At the airport excited for our trip!
Our plan landed after dark, so we had no idea what everything looked like that we were driving through and had no idea that we would have this view. We woke up the next morning and headed straight out to our porch to see this…
It was truly breathtaking! Clayton loved playing with the binoculars.
Most of our late afternoons were spend sitting on the porch drinking wine and reading books while Clayton napped. It was so cozy because there was usually a late afternoon rain shower that cooled the air.
We stayed at Terrazza de Marbella in Los Suenos. It was fabulous! We had everything we needed and more!
There was an infinity pool adjacent to our condo that was always unoccupied. We rarely used it because there was a kiddie pool at the Marriott on site, but the view was absolutely beautiful from this spot.
Los Suenos has one of the best marinas in the world. We were fortunate enough to get to bring our boat here to fish.
This is Clayton and my parents about to go to see the boat for the first time in about a year. The last time he was on the boat was in Mexico last year and I am sure he doesn’t really remember it, so he was very excited to get to go on it. He is very into boats, just like his Papa!
The Marriott that is on the resort had an awesome kiddie pool that was bigger than most regular pools. It was perfect for Clayton!
Instead of sandy beach, there was a huge grass lawn that lined the water. It was so different and so nice not to get sandy.
There was mini soccer goals for the kids and a few miniature golf holes, which made for perfect entertainment for Clayton.
We girls sat under our palapa and sipped on our cocktails while the boys played.
