This was our mode of transportation the whole time we were in Los Suenos, minus the driver :)
The fishing was awesome while we were there. The first day we caught 8 sailfish and the second day we caught 13. I have caught several sailfish before, but nothing like these Pacific sailfish. They were much bigger than the ones we are used to catching in the Gulf of Mexico.
There were hundreds of “spinner dolphins” right by where we were fishing. They were amazing to watch!
Back to sailfish…
Clayton learned how to shammy the boat :)

Fishing Day 2
Since we had so many opportunities on fish, dad taught Nick and I how to hook our own fish. It was a lot of fun and such an adrenaline rush!
Nick, Laura and I went zip lining and had a blast. Our outfits were pretty stylish! :)
One day we decided to go to Manuel Antonio national park to see some monkeys in the wild. It was gorgeous and we were able to see several monkeys and one even ran out right in front of us and grabbed a banana from a tree and started eating it. Clayton thought that was pretty cool, as did the rest of us!
At Los Suenos waiting on our crazy cab driver. ~ The cab ride, which lasted about an hour and a half, was an adventure in itself. We were going against oncoming traffic the majority of the time and I am just thankful we lived to tell the story.
We went to this national park without much knowledge of what we were getting ourselves into. Needless to say, we were not dressed appropriately, in our flipflops, for the hike that we had to trek. Not to mention, we were toting around a two year old.
There was a beautiful beach at the end of the hike. It looked like something in the movies.
By the time we were done with our hike, the tide had come up, so we had to ride in little dugout boats to get back to the mainland. It was crazy and a bit concerning because the water looked like it could definitely have some crocodiles or snakes…
After all of that adventure, we needed a drink!!!
The last night in Los Suenos, we had a big family dinner to celebrate my 30th birthday. The setting was picturesque!
